Look, we get it - privacy policies can be a slog. But we've tried to make this one actually readable because we think you deserve to know what happens with your information when you work with us or visit our site.
Who We Are
Raven Forge Quintal Architecture is based in Toronto, and we've been crafting spaces that blend modern design with natural elements for years now. We're architects, not data miners, so collecting your personal info isn't our main gig - building exceptional spaces is.
Our office is at 125 King Street West, Suite 2800, Toronto, ON M5H 1J8, Canada. You can reach us at (416) 555-0187 or info@ravenforgequintal.info if you've got questions about any of this.
What We Collect
- Your name and contact details
- Project info you share with us
- Correspondence records
- Site visit photos (with permission)
- Payment information
Why We Collect It
- To actually do our job for you
- Keep communication flowing
- Handle contracts and payments
- Comply with building codes
- Improve our services
How We Use Your Information
Here's the deal - when you reach out about a residential design or commercial project, we're gonna need some basics. Name, email, phone number, maybe details about your property or what you're looking to build. That's just how architecture works, y'know?
Project Work
During our collaboration, we'll collect project-specific stuff - site measurements, photos, your preferences for materials and finishes, budget info. We use this to create designs that actually work for you, not just pretty renderings that look good but don't function. All this stays confidential between us and the contractors or consultants who need to see it to get your project built.
Website Analytics
Our website uses basic cookies and analytics to see what pages people visit, how long they hang around, that sort of thing. Nothing creepy - we're not tracking your every move across the internet. We just wanna know if our portfolio section is actually helpful or if we need to rethink it.
Sharing Your Information
We're not in the business of selling your data. Period. That said, there are times we need to share info to get the job done:
- Engineers and Consultants: They need project details to do their part - structural calcs, MEP design, sustainability assessments, that kind of stuff.
- Contractors and Builders: Can't build without plans and specs, obviously.
- Municipal Authorities: Building permits aren't optional, so we submit what's required by law.
- Legal Requirements: If we're legally obligated to disclose something, we will. But we'll let you know unless we're prohibited from doing so.
Data Security
We take reasonable precautions to protect your information. Our systems are password-protected, we use encrypted connections for sensitive stuff, and we don't leave client files scattered around coffee shops (seriously, that's a thing some folks do, and it's wild).
Digital Files
Stored on secure servers with regular backups
Physical Documents
Locked in our office, access limited to team members
Email Communications
We use secure email providers and encrypted transfers for sensitive info
That said, no system is 100% bulletproof. We do our best, but we can't guarantee absolute security. If there's ever a breach that affects your information, we'll let you know as soon as we're aware of it.
Your Rights
Under Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA, specifically), you've got some rights when it comes to your personal information:
How Long We Keep Your Data
We're not hoarders, but we can't just delete everything the minute a project wraps up either. Here's the general breakdown:
Type of Information | Retention Period |
---|---|
Project files and drawings | Minimum 7 years (professional requirement) |
Contracts and agreements | 7 years after completion |
Financial records | 7 years (tax law requirement) |
General correspondence | Duration of relationship plus 2 years |
Marketing preferences | Until you unsubscribe |
Cookies and Website Tech
Our website uses cookies - those little files that remember you've been here before. We use 'em for basic stuff like keeping the site functioning properly and understanding which pages get the most traffic.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you want, though some features might not work as smoothly. We're not using anything fancy like tracking pixels or third-party advertising networks - just the basics to keep things running and get some general insights.
Third-Party Links
Sometimes we link to other websites - maybe a manufacturer's site for a material we specified, or a consultant's portfolio. Once you click through, you're on their turf and their privacy policy applies, not ours. We try to work with reputable folks, but we can't control what happens on sites we don't operate.
Changes to This Policy
Privacy laws evolve, and so do our practices. We might update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top and let you know if there are any significant changes that affect how we handle your information.
If you're an active client, we'll shoot you an email about major updates. Otherwise, it's worth checking back here occasionally if you're curious about what's changed.
Questions or Concerns?
If something in this policy doesn't sit right with you, or you've got questions about how we handle your information, just reach out. We'd rather have a conversation than have you worrying about it.

Get In TouchFiling a Complaint
If you think we've mishandled your personal information and talking to us directly hasn't resolved it, you've got the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. We'd prefer to work things out directly, but we respect your right to escalate if needed.
